This is an FPGA board for replicating old (retro) computers and/or for beginers to start learning about FPGAs. The online tutorials ont Adaptive Design's Youtube Channel are giving examples on how to use the board and access to example designs targeting this specific board.
The board is using the AMD (former Xilinx) device XC7S25-1FTGB196C and an SPI Flash to store the configuration. For programing the FPGA/Serial Flash the user requires a only micro USB cable the JTAG interface is contaiuned on the board (no need to buy expensive JTAG cables) - The board is recognized by the Vivado tools and is fully compatible. The AMD/Vivado tools for this board/device are free to download directly from AMD website (registation required)
