Sensor Radio Transmission
The telemetry system is using a dedicated access point (radio gateway) connected to an Ethernet local area network. Each single gateway can receive signals from 255 sensors on a dedicated channel.
Data is transmitted and received bidirectional using frequency-shift keying (FSK) with a bit rate of 2400 bits per second for an extended range and a reliable link.
The frequency used is 433 MHz and output power of maximum 6dBm, on the internationally free ISM band, frequency reserved for telemetry and license free.
The radio transceiver is built according to FCC and ETSI EN 300 220-1 V2.2.1 (2008-04) regarding power, modulation and duty cycle.
